I have a piece in Popular Mechanics on another side of small drones: their increasing proliferation as convenient tools for police and security forces for riot control, specifically as tear-gas bombers capable of laying down a screen of CS or other riot control agent at long range.

The piece is based on a study by Michael Crowley of the Bradford Non-Lethal Weapons Project, and details six different drone systems from around the world – India, France, China, Israel and the US – all of which are being marketed for their ability to deliver riot control agents.
