The US plans to launch swarms of attack drones from robo-submarines

The US Navy’s LOCUST drone swarm plans continue to evolve. One aspect is that swarms will now be launched to carry out defence-suppression – basically taking out the radars required by surface-to-air missiles – from unmanned underwater vehivles. It’s an elegant way of overcoming the drone’s short range and providing a way of overwhelming defenses from short range.
